This discovery was made by researchers from the US National Institutes of Health.
Dozens of autopsies of patients who died from COVID-19 showed that SARS-CoV-2 penetrated all organs – not only the lungs, but also the heart, spleen, kidneys, liver, colon, chest, muscles, nerves, reproductive system, to the eyes, to the brain.
The virus is fixed in those places where it got – in one of the victims, infections were found in the brain 230 days following the disease was detected.
