The dog was not on a leash and had just taken off its muzzle. The dog broke free and rushed towards the children. He injured 2 of them, a student, 12 and 10 years old, with several bites. The children were given initial care by the Red Cross and taken to the Salzkammergut State Hospital for outpatient treatment.
