Newcastle United survived an eight-goal thriller

Everton scored a goal in added time to save a point against Tottenham in the opening match of the 23rd round of the English Premier League early Saturday afternoon.

The visiting team led 2-1 at the break – the Brazilian Richarlison it was successful twice – however, the home team Jarrad Branthwaite they equalized with a self-sacrificing header in the 94th minute. The Danish national team striker threw himself into the path of the ball half a meter from the goal line, knocking down the opponent’s goalkeeper as well, but the VAR finally classified the hit as legal.

The draw meant Spurs missed the chance to keep pace with Manchester City and Arsenal, while Everton earned a deserved point.
