Like four years ago, Dominic Thiem is taking part in the London Hurlingham Classic in preparation for the Wimbledon Grand Slam, which begins on Monday. After his opening defeat last week in Halle once morest the German Alexander Zverev, the 29-year-old needs match practice in general and especially on grass before the major event. Some of the other participants in the exhibition tournament are top-class.
Queen’s winner Carlos Alcaraz (ESP), Wimbledon title holder Novak Djokovic (SRB), French Open finalist Casper Ruud (NOR) and Holger Rune (DEN) are named – all from the top six in the world rankings – as well as Olympic champion Zverev .
