Dominik Eberle signs with Detroit Lions

Dominik Eberle has joined the Detroit Lions Practice Squad. Most recently, the German kicker was temporarily under contract with the Green Bay Packers.

The dream of the NFL lives on for Dominik Eberle (26). The kicker, who has been in various practice squads in the league since 2020, is now getting a chance in Detroit.

This is reported by Aaron Wilson from Pro Football Network. However, it is unclear whether he will take the place of Aldrick Rosas, who is also listed as a practice squad kicker. The team’s regular kicker is currently Austin Seibert.

The latter recently injured his groin, but was back in full training on Thursday. In this respect, an early assignment in the NFL for Eberle is rather unlikely.

Eberle had previously been under contract with the Raiders, Panthers, Texans and Packers since 2020. He even made his NFL debut with the Texans in 2021, sinking 2 of 3 field goal attempts and all 5 extra points in the game once morest the Chargers in Week 8 of the season.
