Doncic is injured, Knicks storm Boston and Detroit stuns in Brooklyn

Los Angeles (USA), 26 Jan. The New York Knicks and the Detroit Pistons surprised the Boston Celtics and the Brooklyn Nets at home, respectively, this Thursday in the NBA in which Luka Doncic left injured in the game between the Phoenix Suns and the Dallas Mavericks due to a sprain in the ankle.

SUNS 95 – MAVERICKS 99

With less than four minutes played, Doncic retired in the first quarter with a sprained ankle but the Mavericks scored an important victory with a superb Spencer Dinwiddie (36 points on 10 of 18 shooting and 5 of 6 3-pointers, 6 rebounds and 9 assists).

Chris Paul (22 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists) was the best of the Suns who had won their last four games.

CELTICS 117 – KNICKS 120

The Boston Celtics added their third consecutive loss by falling in overtime against the New York Knicks led by Julius Randle (37 points and 9 rebounds) and Jalen Brunson (29 points and 7 assists).

Jayson Tatum (35 points and 14 rebounds) was the top scorer for the Celtics, in which the Dominican Al Horford contributed 6 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists.

NETS 122 – PISTONS 130

Two wins and six losses without Kevin Durant. That is the worrying balance of the Nets since their star was injured and this time it was the Detroit Pistons, bottom team in the East, who exploited Brooklyn’s vulnerability.

Saddiq Bey (25 points and 9 rebounds) led the offense of some Pistons that made Kyrie Irving’s 40 points useless against the Nets

ROCKETS 95 – CAVALIERS 113

The Cleveland Cavaliers passed the roller in Houston and destroyed a Rockets who were trailing by 32 points in the third quarter.

Without Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland led the Cavaliers (26 points and 9 assists) while Tari Eason was the most outstanding for the Rockets (18 points and 11 rebounds).

Spaniard Ricky Rubio had 5 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assists for Cleveland while his compatriot Usman Garuba had no minutes in Houston.

HORNETS 111 – BULLS 96

Terry Rozier (28 points) and LaMelo Ball (15 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists) led the Charlotte Hornets to victory against a very disappointing Chicago Bulls this year.

DeMar DeRozan (28 points) stood out on the visitors.

CLIPPERS 138 – SPURS 100

With 35 points and 7 assists from Paul George and 27 points and 7 assists from Kawhi Leonard, the Los Angeles Clippers swept the San Antonio Spurs for their fourth straight win.

Keldon Johnson (19 points) guided a Spurs that have lost their last four games.
