Costco is known for selling large-format products at low prices, but for certain items, it is better to pass your turn.

According to MyFrugalAdventures.com founder Charlene Haugsven and economic analysts at CNBChere are the 8 items that these experts advise you not to buy.

· Cereals

· Ground coffee

· Sauces et condiments

· Flour

· Lait

Eggs

· Fruits and vegetables

Spices and seasonings

Why should buying these products be avoided when going out to Costco? Mainly because of the quantity that comes with the item.

“An average family simply won’t be able to consume the product they buy. This is even truer for sauces and spices. For vegetables, even if you buy spinach at a low price, it may no longer be good in five days”, summarizes an expert from the website StillTasty.com.

He adds that the flour is sold in large quantities at Costco, and that it is better to turn to the 5 lb bags sold in the grocery store. “25 lbs of flour is difficult to store,” he points out.

For basic necessities, Charlene Haugsven explains that they can be found in grocery stores at lower prices.

“Grocery stores often have big discounts on cereals. For eggs, some brands sometimes offer good discounts,” she says. All the other supermarket chains compete with Costco, and I don’t think you have to shop there to save.”
