Don’t feel like an interview: Hugh Grant delivered the most embarrassing Oscar moment

What kind of louse did Hugh Grant get on his liver? The British actor caught the eye at the 95th Oscars Sunday night in LA because of his bad mood. In the TV interview with model Ashley Graham, the 62-year-old responded reluctantly and taciturnly and earned a huge shitstorm on Twitter.

Before the awards ceremony, Graham asked the actor for a live interview on the red carpet. But even the moderator’s first questions about what he’s looking forward to the most or who he’s keeping his fingers crossed for in particular, left Grant almost unanswered. Even what he was wearing that evening, he only answered snippy: “My suit.”

Afterward, Graham wanted to talk to the Brit about his guest appearance in the Oscar-nominated Netflix film Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, but he grimaced and apparently reluctantly replied, “Well, I hardly acted, I was there for about three seconds .” The presenter asked if he had enjoyed filming. “Almost,” said Hugh Grant.

Twitter community grumbles about Grant

The video of the interview went viral on Twitter on Oscar night. Many users criticized Grant’s behavior. “And the Oscar for the guy who really doesn’t want to be there goes to Hugh Grant,” one user wrote. “Completely dubious” and “What a fool” are other comments.

Other Twitter users, in turn, celebrated the actor’s zero-buck appearance. “Hugh Grant didn’t do anything wrong, ask him better questions,” wrote one viewer.
