The report is of expert teams who examined Sandeep twice. Sandeep had tried many times to escape from the case citing that he had a mental health problem and that the murder had taken place outside of it. After this, Sandeep was subjected to a mental health examination. Doctors report that Sandeep has no mental problems.
Following the report of the first medical team, Sandeep was taken to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College and examined by a special medical team for ten days. These doctors also gave the report that Sandeep has no mental problems. With this, the police say that Sandeep will not be able to escape from the case due to mental problems.
The High Court had earlier rejected Sandeep’s bail plea. Sandeep is still sitting in jail and the move to withdraw the order by appealing against his dismissal from the teaching job. Padmakumar, the main accused in the Kutiya abduction case in Oyur, is lodged with Sandeep in the high security section of Poojapura Central Jail. The special surveillance is due to the possibility that other accused may attack them.
