DRC: Félix Tshisekedi appoints new figures in several public companies

President Félix Tshisekedi yesterday Tuesday evening made a wave of appointments within several public companies in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

At the Société de transport du Congo (Transco), manager of rail and river transport, Jean-Claude Kalala has been appointed chairman of the board of directors. He will be supported by Cyprien Moba, new general manager, and Watuka Katema as deputy general manager.

Other changes have taken place at the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (ARMP). Armand Kanyinda now inherits the presidency of the board of directors. Claude Kayembe and Jimmy Ngalo take up the functions of general manager and deputy general manager respectively.

At the Water Distribution Authority (Regideso), Kisolokele Nsaba Fumu becomes the new chairman of the board of directors. He will have the difficult task of cleaning up and modernizing the management of drinking water in Congolese cities.

Grand Hôtel du Congo sees the arrival at its head of Mini Michel Christian as chairman of the board of directors. He will be surrounded by directors representing the State shareholder Marcel Kabasele Mutamba and Stéphane Lukamba Emongo.

These changes are part of the desire of Head of State Félix Tshisekedi to breathe new life into these public companies and increase their efficiency in serving the Congolese.
