PSV seems to have won the battle with Feyenoord for Excelsior winger. According to both Football International if it Eindhovens Dagblad the Jong Morocco international faces a move to the Eredivisie leaders, which would cost more than four million euros plus bonuses. As it turns out, there is still one obstacle that could stand in the way of a transfer from Driouech to Eindhoven.
It has been clear for some time that both top clubs hoped to strengthen themselves on deadline day with the 21-year-old Driouech, who is still under contract with Excelsior until mid-2025. The fast winger, who usually plays on the left flank, has made an excellent impression in the Eredivisie in recent months, scoring four times and providing three assists this season.

At PSV, Driouech must fill the gap left by the departure of Yorbe Vertessen to Union Berlin and the new injury of Noa Lang. Last summer’s top signing had only just played his first matches for the Eindhoven team after the winter break, but last weekend he was sidelined in the second half of the match against Almere City (2-0 win) with upper leg complaints. It now appears that this may have put him out of action for ‘months’.
With the arrival of Driouech, PSV would trump reigning national champion Feyenoord. The Rotterdammers seemed to have a potentially decisive trump card in the battle for the player of their city rival, in the person of Leo Sauer, it was reported Football International-club watcher Martijn Krabbendam earlier on deadline day. The 18-year-old Slovak would have to take the opposite route on a rental basis if Feyenoord were to strengthen with Driouech, so that Excelsior would not have to look for a replacement themselves.
Updated 12:51 pm: Excelsior does not yet want to confirm to various media that there is an agreement with PSV. Elfrink writes that the transfer may still be canceled if the Kralingers fail to attract a replacement for Driouech.
