Kalamasery ∙ Security staff of private school caught with drugs on International Anti-Drug Day. Parimal Sinha Roy (31), a resident of Jalpaiguri, Panchkolaguri, Bengal, was arrested. 1.400 kg ganja and 4 gm heroin were seized from the room where Parimal Sinha was staying. Parimal was arrested by a police team led by Inspector Vibin Das.

Parimal, who had been doing external work in the school for 11 years, was loyal to the school authorities. The police said that Parimal was temporarily appointed as a replacement when the school’s security employee resigned due to his sincerity in his work. Janmaitri police visited schools to create awareness as part of anti-drug day celebrations. At this time Parimal was trapped by the hint received from the children. The police searched the room of the school where Parimal lived and seized the drug from a secret room. According to the police, Parimal used to sell drugs to students of Kochi University and others.

Apart from this, two youths were caught at the bus stand with 35 grams of MDMA. Abu Tahir and Nasif Naser, natives of Aluva, were arrested.
