A 19-year-old Serb, who acted as a street runner on behalf of a group of criminals from the Balkans, was arrested by police officers on August 25, 2022 after he had previously been handed over narcotics in public spaces and found 33 grams of heroin. Shortly before, the suspect had been robbed of his proceeds from drug deals amounting to around 890 euros, one gram of heroin and his mobile phone by two young people with an affinity for heroin. After a short escape, both perpetrators were also apprehended by police officers and arrested after the loot had been found. The 19-year-old was transferred to the Linz prison by order of the Linz public prosecutor’s office after a written interrogation had partially confessed. The young people who confessed, a 17-year-old Syrian and a 17-year-old Afghan, were also transferred to the Linz prison after all interrogations had been carried out, according to the police.
