Luzerner makes it into the final of “DSDS”
He is one of the top four candidates in the latest season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. The Swiss Lorent Berisha sang his way into the final with Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me”.

Lucerne’s Lorent Berisha tore the jury and the audience from their seats at the beginning of April in the first live show of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” on RTL.

The jury also stood up and clapped with the audience for minutes. Pop titan Dieter Bohlen was blown away by Berisha’s performance: “You felt the song, you made the song yours, you gave everything and that was just great!”

“I want to bring the profit back to Switzerland,” Berisha told 20 minutes. He hopes that in the next show, on April 8, many viewers will call and vote for him. And they did – he made it to the final.

The motto of the second live show from “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” was Chartbreaker. Eight candidates got involved on Saturday evening and had only one goal in mind – to reach the final of “DSDS”. Also present: 19-year-old Lucerne native Lorent Berisha, who tore the audience and the jury off their chairs in the first live show a week ago.
Lorent Berisha wrote on Instagram before the show: “It would be a dream come true for me to be in the final.” He asked his followers to call diligently for him. And it worked! Lorent Berisha sang with Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” in the grand finale of “DSDS”, which will take place on April 15th.
For his fans it was already clear: “If you don’t win, then the show has nothing to do with talent. It’s unbelievable how you sing », it says. Or: “You’re the best and you take the thing home with you in the end.”
After his performance, even juror Dieter Bohlen only found words of praise. «I see you very clearly in the final. That was very emotional. For 19 I have to say: Chapeau!» At the beginning of this year’s season said Bohlen to Berisha: “Your voice sounds funny.”
Jury colleague and even once “DSDS” winner Pietro Lombardi was enthusiastic. “The only thing I can say is: wow, wow and wow again.” Juror Leony couldn’t stop raving: “I’m so in love with your voice. You really sympathize. It is very nice that you exist and that you are here.”
