Dubai: Dubai announces Eid-ul-Fitr holiday for private schools The schools have been declared closed on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. Private schools will be closed from Monday, May 2. This was announced by the Dubai Knowledge and Human Development Authority. Classes in schools will resume on Monday, May 9, after the holidays.

This time, students at private schools in Dubai are getting seven days off. The number of holidays will increase again when the weekends are taken into account.

Meanwhile, the UAE cabinet had yesterday approved a decision to allow a week-long Eid holiday in the country’s public sector. Public Sector Undertakings, Government Departments and Ministries in the UAE will be on holiday from Saturday 30th April 2022 to Friday 6th May 2022.

Public sector activities will resume from Monday, May 9, 2022 after the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday. Meanwhile, employees working in the private sector in the UAE will be on leave from April 30 to May 4.
