Dubai Customs and Uzbekistan discuss strengthening cooperation

Ahmed Mahbub Musabih, Director General of Dubai Customs, CEO of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, Mavlonov, Ikmal Khoja Yusupovich, Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Aziz Mahmutov, Consul of Uzbekistan in Dubai.
Ahmed Mahboob Musabih said, “We seek to strengthen the relationship with customs administrations in friendly countries to support the growth in trade exchange with trading partners, and we are keen to exchange experiences and expertise with them to inform them of the great progress achieved by Dubai in the field of trade and customs services, which enabled it to consolidate its leading position as a center.” We are looking forward to achieving more cooperation and coordination with Uzbek Customs to support the growth of mutual trade between the UAE and Uzbekistan.”
He added: “Continuous meetings with customs administrations in the countries of the country’s trading partners provide us with an important opportunity to listen to their requirements for commercial and customs services necessary to develop future trade exchange with partners, as the department works to provide the best level of services to traders and investors, and Dubai Customs has succeeded in achieving Significant progress in this field by enabling dealers to benefit from the approved economic operator program, which provides distinguished facilities for trade with member countries of the program, and contributes to enabling traders and companies to face the current challenges in the international trade environment.”
