Dubai Customs distributes 10,000 Iftar meals to road users at Port Rashid during Ramadan, reports Emirates News Agency.

On Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 9:23 PM, the Ghayath Volunteer Team at the Dubai Customs Department distributed 10,000 meals to main road users in the Port Rashid area during the holy month of Ramadan. The initiative, named “Sawaed Al Farda,” had about 150 volunteers participate including individuals with disabilities. This is one of many sustainable community initiatives launched by Dubai Customs during the holy month. The Director General of Dubai Customs, Ahmed Mahboob Musabih and CEO of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, Mohammed Al Ghafari, as well as other executives from the department, participated in the initiative. Additionally, a delegation from the Indonesian Consulate in Dubai also participated. Dubai Customs places a strong emphasis on organizing voluntary and charitable initiatives as part of its strategic plans for social responsibility. By doing so, they contribute to achieving solidarity and community unity, and strive to enhance the values of giving and benevolence within communities. During the month of Ramadan alone, Dubai Customs implemented 180 community and voluntary initiatives, which benefitted almost 96,000 people from all segments of society.

DUBAI, 4th April, 2020 (WAM) — The Ghayath Volunteer Team at the Dubai Customs Department has distributed 10,000 meals to main road users since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, in the Port Rashid area, with the participation of about 150 volunteers, including a number of people of determination.

“Sawaed Al Farda” initiative comes within the framework of a series of sustainable community initiatives launched by Dubai Customs during the holy month.

His Excellency Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director General of Dubai Customs and CEO of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, Mohammed Al Ghafari, Executive Director of the Human Resources Sector “acting”, and Youssef Al Hashemi, Executive Director of the Customers Sector “acting”, participated in the initiative, in addition to a delegation from the Indonesian Consulate in Dubai that included His Excellency Wikaksuno, Consul for Consular Affairs.

His Excellency Ahmed Mahboob Musabih said that Dubai Customs is keen to organize many voluntary and charitable initiatives, and places them within its strategic plans in terms of social responsibility, to contribute to achieving the principle of solidarity and community solidarity, and to enhance the feelings of giving and benevolence enjoined by our true religion.

His Excellency pointed out that the department implemented 180 community and voluntary initiatives, benefiting nearly 96,000 beneficiaries from all segments of society, indicating that the expansion of charitable activities during the month of Ramadan reflects compassion and kindness and enhances the values ​​of humanitarian and voluntary work.
