Dubai records 2,879 marriage contracts in the first half

In the first half of 2022, Dubai registered 2,879 marriage contracts, while the number of divorce cases amounted to 742, according to data from the Dubai Statistics Center.

Marriage contracts of residents (non-Emirati with non-Emirati) accounted for the largest share of contracts concluded in the first half (68.5%), at the rate of 1974 contracts. Secondly, Emirati marriage contracts (Emirati with Emirati) are 16% and 458 contracts. The third marriage of an Emirati to a non-Emirati has 373 contracts, at a rate of 13%, and a non-Emirati with an Emirati woman, with 2.5%, with a rate of 73 contracts.

With regard to divorce cases, divorce cases among residents (non-Emiratis, non-Emiratis) accounted for 69.5%, which is the largest compared to other nationalities, with 516 cases, and Emiratis secondly, 17.5%, with 130 cases. And the Emirati from a non-Emirati 9%, with a rate of 65 cases.
