The answer, Gilla explained, was a job opportunity she couldn’t pass up. “It was a weird flight from Riga to Dubai. I was shocked they didn’t cancel and I was able to go to UAE as got a good job offer,” she commented on her Instagram post. Despite the unsettling circumstances, Gilla reported a smooth flight, noting the attentive service from the flight crew. She described being offered “a lot of food” and even had the opportunity to meet the pilot.
Gilla further detailed the experience, explaining that with only one passenger, the four flight attendants were able to relax and enjoy the flight themselves. “They sat down in different areas of the plane to relax, eat and enjoy the food. Just like I did,” she shared. The pilot likewise reportedly apologized for a six-hour delay, adding a personal touch to the extraordinary journey.
