YouTube has announced support for the “Aloud” service, which uses artificial intelligence technology to dub videos into other languages.

YouTube revealed – during the “Vide Con” conference – that it is testing the tool with hundreds of content creators, and it currently supports a few languages: English, Spanish and Portuguese, with a plan to support more of them later.

According to the company, the tool transcribes what is said in the video into text that the user can review and edit, then the tool translates it and produces dubbing.

In addition to the AI dubbing feature, YouTube is testing a new feature called “Test and Compare”, which allows content creators to upload up to 3 thumbnails for each video and then let YouTube help choose the optimal image for the video.

YouTube said, “It is working on testing the new feature with a few hundred content creators, and plans to launch a trial version of it in the coming months for thousands of them before launching it to all users over the next year,” adding that it is working to make the sound in the translated audio tracks similar to the voice of the original content creators. .

It is noteworthy that “Ved Con” is an annual conference for creators, executives and brands via the Internet. (Al-Jazeera)
