After suffering a spectacular accident in the early hours of Monday, a preliminary part of the health status of former soccer player Freddy Rincón, involved in the incident, was known.
“After the assessments made, the team of specialists in charge of the patient has made the decision to perform a surgical procedure that is being carried out at this time,” says the statement from the Imbanaco Clinic, where Rincón is treated.
Later, Laureano Quintero, Medical Director of the clinic, gave a more detailed report to the media about the former soccer player’s state of health.
“Freddy Eusebio Rincón was admitted this morning, a victim of severe head trauma. His conditions are very critical due to an interdisciplinary decision, he was taken to our operating room area from where he will be transferred to the intensive care area. All the pertinent care will be applied, everything Our team of specialists is going to be deploying everything necessary. That is the current situation and it is in a critical condition,” he said.

The traffic accident occurred on Calle 5 with Carrera 34, near the Pascual Guerrero stadium, where the Ford 4×4 truck in which the former player was traveling collided with a MÍO feeder bus.
For his part, the driver of the mass transit bus was transferred to another medical center and who, according to preliminary information, stated that he had a fracture in his left leg and a slight trauma in the right parietal of his head.
So far there is no official report from the authorities regarding the incident, and more information is expected on the health of Freddy Rincón and the other passengers involved.
