Dulquer Salmaan on Mammootty | Malayalam great actor Mammootty, his son Dulquer Salmaan followed in his footsteps. Mammootty belongs to a much celebrated film family. Mammootty is still at the forefront of Malayalam cinema with his age-defying characters. Son Dulquer Salmaan is also cementing his star status with impressive roles. Dulquer is waiting for the release of King of Kotha, which is expected to be the best film of his career. Therefore, the interviews given by Dulquer to the media are also noteworthy.
Dulquer also shares interesting things at home with the media. In a recent interview with a leading media outlet, Dulquer openly says that his style influence is Vapachi. Dulquer says that since he can remember, he wanted to dress up like Wapachi.
Dulquer says that if everyone is going out together at home, it would take hours for others to get ready. But only five minutes are enough for Wapachi. ‘When everyone gets ready, Vapachi will drink some tea and watch the whole thing. When everyone is ready, the ready will tell me five minutes. Then he goes to the room and comes out in a ‘not then’ mood’ says Dulquer.
‘We will know what this is going to be as soon as Wapachi gets ready. Dulquer said with a smile, “If you want Vapachi, go first or we will come later.” ‘I wanted to dress like a vapachi. Even then he wanted to dress as a full grown man. That influence is still there today. When every picture of Wapachi goes viral, whatever the reaction of others is, it is the same for me’- said Dulquer.
King of Kotta will hit the screens on August 24 as an Onam release. Abhilash Joshi, son of director Joshi, has dressed the film.
Apart from Dulquer, Shabbir Kallarakkal, Prasanna, Chemban Vinod, Gokul Suresh, Shammi Thilakan, Vada Chennai Sharan, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Naila Usha, Shanthi Krishna, Anikha Surendran and others are coming to the film. This is also Zee Studios’ first movie in Malayalam.
