The controversial activist, Dyab Abou Jahjah (52), just revealed the name of his new party this Wednesday for the Brussels regional elections: “Viva Palestina”. “This name is a resonant declaration of our unwavering commitment to life, justice and freedom in Palestine and everywhere,” he said on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

Media figure in Flanders, Dyab Abou Jahjah is known for his multiple controversial interventions. Publication of a Plea for radicalization, justification of attacks against Israelis… This Monday again, interviewed in De Afspraak on VRTAbou Jahjah refused to condemn the October 7 attack by Hamas as a crime against humanity.

Already several electoral flops

Originally from Lebanon and founder of the European Arab League, this French-Dutch bilingual has already tried to enter politics in the past… without success.
