On the website of the women’s volleyball club Dynamo, after losing to Lokomotiv in the semi-finals of the Russian Super League, an article appeared in which the volleyball players of the winning team were accused of “LGBT propaganda” due to their actions on the court.
Material “Stop putting up with this!” was placed in the “Open area” section, which positioned as a place where “discussion is allowed and sensitive issues are not thrown into the trash.” Its main author and leader is former volleyball player, world champion Elena Godina (the article is not signed, but judging by commentsshe is the author).
The LGBT community in the Russian Federation is legally recognized as an extremist organization; propaganda of this deviation from traditional values among young people is prohibited. However, to our shame, close-up broadcasts of volleyball matches show monstrous gestures imitating sexual intercourse performed by Lokomotiv Kaliningrad players directed towards the opposing teams, same-sex kisses on the lips and other abominations.
The author of the article notes that throughout the entire season, the judges “did not make a single comment for such behavior, which clearly qualifies as impunity and permissiveness in demonstrating complete disregard for the culture and moral values of our country.”
The article also includes photos of Lokomotiv volleyball players from Halloween. It says they “dress in satanic guises” despite the fact that “three of them are raising their own children.”
Dynamo is one of the most titled women’s volleyball clubs in Russia. The volleyball players have won the Super League eight times and are now the current champions.
In Russia, the non-existent “international LGBT movement” has been declared “extremist” since the end of 2023. Because of this, authorities and security forces close gay clubs, break into gay parties and open criminal cases against LGBT activists.
