The serious earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 occurred on Saturday night around 70 kilometers southwest of Marrakesh and 60 kilometers northeast of the city of Taroudant. According to initial information, at least 820 people have died and almost 700 are injured. “The severe earthquake in Morocco shows the strong impact natural disasters have and the suffering they can inflict on people. Our Don Bosco project partners run schools and educational institutions in Morocco. Their buildings themselves are not in the quake area and were not damaged. With your donation you will help our partners provide urgently needed help to those affected by the earthquake,” concludes Heiserer.
