1.Go by areas

If you have multiple areas in your home that you want to organize, start with just one. You decide which one to start with: is it the area that gives you the most headaches or the area that guests in your home see the most easily? Whatever your priorities are, select an area. Many attempts at organization fail when the task of cleaning the entire house seems daunting and people give up. When you complete an area, celebrate and then move on to the next.

Depending on the area to be organized, schedule a couple of hours each day to work on organizing the room. Getting a garage in shape will take more time than organizing a linen closet.

7. Divide the space

By adding additional shelves to a single shelf, or by using bins that stack on top of each other, you can divide vertical space and make efficient use of the area you have to work with. By dividing the space, you eliminate the possibility of stacking tall piles of clothes, papers, or other items.

8. Organize with color

Whether you’re working to organize your living room or struggling to get your home office under control, use color to enhance your efforts. Organize bills, bills, and other important papers by function and color.

9. Get visibility

The three rules of organization are visibility, accessibility, and flexibility. Choose containers that are transparent or can be easily labeled to help immediately identify the contents and save time.
