Ecovacs Deebot T90 Pro Omni robotic vacuum cleaner launches

The Ecovacs Deebot T90 Pro Omni robotic vacuum cleaner arrives with an advisory price of 799 euros, undercutting the brand’s more expensive X-series while packing high suction claims and a compact base station. Despite offering strong cleaning performance and a roller mop that stands out in its price class, users must navigate certain compromises in dust collection and navigation capabilities.

Suction Performance and Floor Cleaning

Top-class robotic vacuum cleaners frequently cost well over 1,000 euros, making the 799 euro Deebot T90 Pro Omni a more accessible alternative that does not sacrifice vacuuming and mopping results. On its highest setting, the device theoretically reaches a suction power of 30,000 Pa, surpassing certain more expensive models from Mova and Dreame on paper.

Rather than using traditional mop pads, the T90 Pro Omni utilizes a true mopping roller that cleans itself during every rotation by discharging dirty water and reapplying clean water and detergent. The roller can also extend to clean better along baseboards and in corners, though caked-on dirt like dried ketchup requires multiple passes.

Base Station and Maintenance Limitations

While the compact base station automatically empties the robot’s dust reservoir, it relies on dust bags rather than a bagless bin. The internal dust reservoir is relatively small, requiring frequent trips back to the station even inside a small apartment. Depending on home conditions, the dust bag fills up quickly, meaning keeping spare bags on hand is recommended. It remains an open question how the device’s navigation and obstacle detection perform over longer periods of regular use across different household layouts.
