Egypt – Egyptian Minister of Transport, Kamel Al-Wazir, talked about implementing a major plan to develop Egyptian ports at a cost of EGP 200 billion.
And he confirmed, during a telephone conversation with the journalist Ahmed Moussa, on a program on my responsibility, on Wednesday evening, that the mega projects currently being implemented in the port of Alexandria at an investment cost of 7 billion pounds, the state budget does not bear any funds or loans, pointing out that the Long Live Egypt station in Alexandria was carried out by Egyptian hands and did not Affected by the change in the exchange rate, since most of the tools are made in Egypt.
Lieutenant General Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transport, confirmed that the Tahya Misr multi-purpose station in the port of Alexandria employs more than 95% Egyptian workers, and provided thousands of job opportunities, directly and indirectly.
Kamel Al-Wazir promised to transform Egypt into a center for world trade, explaining that 10 billion pounds is the cost of the Tahya Misr multi-purpose station, and after only 7 years we will be able to recover all the money we spent on the station and we will make profits.
Lieutenant General Kamel Al-Wazir said that there are 15 commercial ports in Egypt and two new ports have been added, stressing that there are political directions to develop Egyptian ports and raise the efficiency of infrastructure and superstructure, to make Egypt a global center of trade and logistics.
The minister revealed that his ministry conducts tests for engineers applying for jobs at the Military College, to select certain levels that receive a sound education.
The Minister of Transport explained that the nature of work in the railways requires engineers who learn to use computers and the English language properly, so that they can interact with the new tractors and vehicles.
And he continued: “The engineer refines his experience in English, computers, physical fitness, strategy, and national security at the Military College. I must open and broaden his knowledge in order to understand the world around him.”
He asked, “What is preventing him from learning security? I must teach him security in order to protect him and fortify him and fortify the railway from their evils. When I have an educated, intelligent, scholarly, understanding and patriotic engineer, he can go to work and explore.”
