The health condition of Egyptian artist Adel Imam is of concern to artistic circles and his fans, in light of his disappearance from the scene and his appearance at separate intervals through rare phone calls on television programmes.
After rumors circulated that “Al-Zaeem” had Alzheimer’s disease again, the artist Sherine, who participated with him in many artistic works, most notably “Bakhit and Adeela,” put an end to all speculation.
She said in a television interview: “No, no… I seek refuge in God… I seek refuge in God,” stressing that she constantly checks on Adel Imam and communicates with him on the phone on a regular basis, while he is keen to always answer her and talk to her.
“Enough is enough”
She then confirmed that the artist Salah Al-Saadani is the one suffering from Alzheimer’s, but she preferred to quickly get over the matter and not talk about it, and concluded by praying for Al-Saadani, saying: “Oh God, heal him and keep him safe.”
She also asked followers to stop spreading rumors, adding: “Oh God, have some respect for themselves… and that is enough… Don’t kill us every little time… if you are annoyed with us, tell us.” (Al-Arabiya)
