The Egyptian doctor, “Azza”, is in hospital for treatment of fractures, bruises and wounds, after she jumped last Thursday from the balcony of her house on the third floor, after her husband, the doctor, assaulted her following a divorce suit.
According to the wife’s doctor’s testimony, which was published by “Al-Masry Al-Youm” newspaper, she was beaten and detained in the marital apartment in Alexandria for several days, and she was forced to try to escape by tying secret sheets to the balcony, but the scene ended with her falling and injuring her.

The doctor told the Egyptian newspaper that a love story linked her to her husband, “Mohamed” at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Alexandria, and the marriage culminated two years later in 2016.
She said, “In the beginning, the world was nice, but his family criticized my inability to buy some furnishings and furniture.”
The doctor said that she had problems from the first day in dealing with her husband’s family, and that she asked for divorce several times, to no avail.

She spoke bitterly about her use of the service of her sister-in-law in her university residence at the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, and her severe beating by her husband when she objected to the mistreatment of his family.
She revealed that she was forced to pay all her salary for household expenses, and endure harsh conditions during her pregnancy with her three children.
However, the Egyptian newspaper report did not explore the husband’s testimony and his defense of the charges brought by the wife.
The wife said that she had to file a divorce suit after her husband refused to spend on her and her family. One day, he prevented her from entering the marital home, and when she was able to enter after arguments, he detained her inside and seized her phone, and she was forced to jump from the balcony.

The Public Prosecution released the husband, and the victim is still receiving treatment, and is demanding her support and the restoration of her rights and the rights of her children.
