EIA amendment approved in the National Council – domestic

Vienna – The National Council passed an amendment to the Environmental Impact Assessment Act on Wednesday, with the votes of all parliamentary groups except for the FPÖ. This should speed up the approval of energy transition projects. Environment Minister Leonore Gewessler (Greens) was enthusiastic regarding the “really good news for renewables in our country” in parliament in the evening – as she was in the morning following the Council of Ministers.
