Eckart College Eindhoven will remain closed today as a precaution due to a danger that would have affected final exam students. High school is worried regarding i safety risks and according to city broadcaster Studio040, the school management sent an email to all parents and students last night. The management does not want to say what kind of danger it is.
“It’s a far-reaching decision, but we think it’s the right one. Otherwise, we might not guarantee sufficient safety at the school,” rector Claire Arts told the Eindhoven city broadcaster. However, the manager does not want to give a substantial answer, not even to the question of whether discussions with students who might be at the center of the story will follow.
The email to parents and students states that “the police will be visibly present at school on Monday”. Police confirm that more officers will be on the scene, but won’t say anything else. The college has regarding 1500 students and the nature of the risk might be linked with “celebrations” that often get out of hand.
