In the space of a few days alone, FromSoftware’s latest title has taken the world by storm. As the days go by, the first sales figures make it possible to establish rankings. After the national results shared by SELL, it’s our American counterparts’ turn to take stock of February sales and so far there are only two games that overshadow it in categories quite precise.

It’s been just two weeks sinceElden Ring was launched across the world. Acclaimed by critics and gamers, FromSoftware’s title quickly built up an army of followers who allowed it to achieve exceptional scores: in France, the game quickly rose to first and third place of the SELL ranking between February 21 and 28. It only took four days for FromSoftware’s latest title to land on the podium.
As of March 4, we already had an estimate to put in our mouthsalthough it is not official and deduced thanks to the tools of the SteamSpy site which analyzes the user profiles of the Valve platform. With these elements alone, the number of copies counted flirted with 10 million. The SteamSpy site even extended its estimate with a very wide range regarding the game’s sales. Anyway, the game must have improved more in a week, even though he found two opponents to match him in some American rankings.

However, Elden Ring does not have to devalue itself in the face of the results of its competitors. According to data from the American company specializing in market research, the NPD Group, Elden Ring would be, quite simply, the best-selling game of 2022 in the United States : a great success even if the year has only just begun. But as said before, it didn’t take first place in all categories.
Indeed, Elden Ring only reached second place in terms of sales during the month of launch, when taking into account the results of all games released in the last twelve months, thus falling behind Call of Duty : Vanguard which sold the most in November 2021. Still, it only took him two days to get to that second place (sales calculated between February 25 and 26), where Call of Duty : Vanguard was released at the very beginning of November.
On the PlayStation side, Horizon : Forbidden West steals first place : certainly, the title of FromSoftware is the game that sold the most in February on PC and Xbox in the United States, but the latter was released the same month as the behemoth of Guerrilla Games, exclusive to the PS4 and at the PS5. In terms of overall sales, Horizon : Forbidden West finds himself behind Elden Ring for the month of February : no hard feelings, then?
Where FromSoftware’s title is doing well on the PlayStation ecosystem, it is on the side of the online store since it is the most downloaded title of the month of February 2022 : finally, the heir of Dark Souls do not allow yourself to face adversity!
