Everything is monstrous in Elden Ring: its universe, its bestiary, its difficulty… and even its official guide! Because it had to be a pad of nearly 600 pages in order to present all the useful strategies to overcome the tough challenge represented by the title of From Software.
A real official bible for Elden Ring
If the game aids concerning Elden Ring are legion on the net, many players still prefer the paper medium when it comes to relying on maps and other strategies relating to an action-RPG of the scope of the title of Hidetaka Miyazaki. Role-players also surely remember a time not so long ago when official guides were frankly on the rise, sometimes acting as real collector’s items. It is in this spirit that From Software and the publisher Kadokawa announce the release on July 22 of an official strategic guide of nearly 600 pages (592 to be precise) entirely dedicated to the universe of Elden Ring!
In order to help players make the most of the possibilities offered by the title, the official guide is a veritable mine of information including all detailed maps and a full story flowchart of the game. It obviously presents the best strategies to apply to defeat the bosses and offers an exhaustive list of all the weapons and pieces of armor allowing you to optimize your equipment. The location of all items and secrets within Elden Ring are referenced meticulously in this book, the detailed content of which is as follows:

- Includes maps of all dungeons that cannot be seen in-game. Along with the location of items and NPCs along the way, a flowchart supports the story until the end.
- Explains each system, including status details, effects of various anomalies, and weapon and ash boosts. Also includes lots of useful information for playing around the clock.
- How to defeat the over 100 bosses that appear in the game. Explains the characteristics of the bosses, their main attacks, their effective attributes and their anomalies.
- Information on conditions and locations for various NPC-related events, and conditions leading to branching off multiple endings, which are easy to miss.
- The final parameters for improving all attributes of weapons, as well as actions of war, magic and prayer, are presented with photographs. This guide also explains how to obtain all equipment (weapons, armor, talismans) and items (magic, prayers, battle ashes, relics, tools, etc.).
Already referenced on the Japanese version of Amazon, this official guide is not yet announced in English or French version but we hope that a translation will follow in stride. There is no doubt that fans will in any case take care of relaying on the net the treasures that this colossal work is likely to contain, offered at the price of ¥2,970, or just under 22 euros, and which we imagine richly illustrated, with why no new interviews…
