ELN delegation arrived in Venezuela to reactivate peace process

The National Liberation Army (ELN) delegation traveled from Havana, Cuba, to Venezuela, where they would begin a series of internal consultations to reactivate

This trip takes place after the Attorney General’s Office suspended the extradition orders that weighed against them for various crimes and events, including the attack against the General Santander Police school in Bogotá and that the National Government expressed the intention to resume the dialogue processes, Blu Radio reviewed on its website.

The meetings in Venezuela are held to review details and determine whether to resume the dialogue process or not.

The delegation that landed in the country was accompanied by representatives from Cuba, Norway and Venezuela, who agreed to be the guarantor of the process.

“We thank the guarantor countries for their support, for their consistent defense of international legal principles and to the Republic and People of Cuba for their full hospitality,” the ELN said in a statement.
