Manila, January 8 / WAM / Today, an earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale struck the province of Davao Oriental in the southern Philippines.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the epicenter of the earthquake occurred 12 km south of the municipality of Baganga in the province, at a depth of 143 km.
There have been no reports so far of human or material losses due to the earthquake.
