Emirates News Agency – Arsenal extends coach Arteta’s contract until 2025

LONDON, May 6, 2020 (WAM) — Arsenal Football Club announced today the extension of the contract of its Spanish coach, Mikel Arteta, for three years until 2025, in light of the success the coach is achieving with the team this season.

Arsenal is currently fourth in the English Premier League. If this position is officially decided at the end of the competition this season, the team will return to participating in the Champions League next season for the first time in five years.

Arteta, 40, coached the team in 2019, succeeding his compatriot Unai Emery.

Arsenal have three matches in the English Premier League this season, where they meet Leeds United the day following tomorrow, then face Newcastle and Everton in the last two rounds of the competition during the coming period.
