ABU DHABI, 16th September / WAM / A delegation from the Kingdom of Bahrain was briefed today on the experiences of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security in the field of population data management and identification of mechanisms for proving personal identity for individuals, registration systems and issuance of Emirates ID cards and passports.

His Excellency Major General Suhail Jumaa Kaltham Al Khaili, Director General of Identity and Passports at the authority, met with Dr. Zakaria Ahmed Al Khaja, Vice President of the Information and eGovernment Authority in the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain, and his accompanying delegation, welcoming his happiness to the brothers’ visit to the authority, stressing the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields. He praised the role played by the leaderships of the two countries in supporting and developing government services in all sectors in a way that enhances the region’s leadership regionally and internationally.

Major General Al Khaili stressed that the concepts of excellence in identity affairs, passports and other activities of the authority came in light of the diligent follow-up of the authority’s leadership within the framework of the strategic directions of the rational UAE government with the aim of enhancing the happiness of customers and highlighting the services provided in a proactive manner that meets the aspirations of society in an advanced and intelligent manner that emulates the requirements of the times and is in line with national goals And the principles of the next fifty as pillars embodying the Authority’s work process within the stages of development and drawing a road map for formulating the future of services provided to the community.

In addition, Brigadier Matar Kharbash Al-Saadi, Director of the Information Technology Department at the authority, reviewed a package of existing projects related to the fingerprint system, verification processes and data processing, in addition to highlighting the smart applications used to identify individuals, the interactive digital certification project, in addition to reviewing the card printing system. identity.

The delegation was acquainted with the nature of the customer’s journey and the mechanisms of the procedures for providing ID card services through a visit to the Khalifa Center for Customer Happiness, where he was briefed by the director of the center about the mechanism of inserting fingerprints, the stages of providing services and reviewing the accompanying facilities to enhance the happiness of customers visiting the center.
