Emirates News Agency – “Dubai Quran” celebrates the conclusion of the “Hind bint Maktoum Quran competition” on January 23 and 24

DUBAI, 22nd January, 2018 (WAM) — The Dubai International Holy Quran Award announced the end of special arrangements for its celebration of the conclusion of the twenty-third edition, and honoring the winners of the Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum Holy Quran Competition, in both its male and female branches. This January, at the headquarters of the Women’s Renaissance Association in Dubai.

Counselor Ibrahim Mohammed Bu Melha, Advisor to His Highness the Ruler of Dubai for Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs and Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the Award, praised the great effort and outstanding work carried out by the administrative units of the award and its work teams, through its distinguished organization of the final qualifiers that took place over the past days, at the award’s headquarters in Al Mamzar district in Dubai. for males, and the headquarters of the Women’s Association in Al-Mamzar for females.

Bu Melha said that the number of participants reached 48 males and 54 females, through the 6 branches of the competition, where 10 males and 11 females were able to qualify for the final competition in the first branch, which is memorizing the Holy Qur’an in its entirety, and in the second branch, 20 parts, in which 9 qualified. males and 13 females, and the thirteenth branch is divided into parts; 12 males and 15 females qualified, and the fourth branch has five parts for citizens, in which 6 males and 8 females qualified, and the fifth branch has five parts for residents whose age does not exceed ten years; 5 males and 5 females qualified, then the sixth branch, which is three parts for citizens under ten years of age, in which 6 males and 2 females qualified.

Bu Melha invited the honorable public to attend the honoring of this constellation of memorizers of the Book of God, in appreciation of them and their encouragement to maintain the continuation of memorization and revision.
