DUBAI, 27th February / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Hasher bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, Director General of the Department of Information in Dubai, inaugurated today the activities of the 21st edition of the Dubai International Dermatology and Laser Conference and Exhibition “Dubai Derma 2022”, the largest event specialized in dermatology, skin care and lasers. In the Middle East, North Africa and the Indian Subcontinent, under the slogan “We are shaping the future of dermatology and cosmetology”, with the participation of more than 349 specialist doctors from all over the world.
His Highness was accompanied by Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, CEO of the Dubai Derma Conference and Exhibition, Chairman of INDEX Holding, Dr. Ibrahim Galadari, Professor of Dermatology and Chairman of the Dubai Derma Conference, Dr. Hassan Galadari, Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Dubai Derma Conference, and Dr. Abdul Wahab Al Fozan, Head of The Arab Academy of Dermatology and Aesthetics, President of the Kuwait Dermatologists Association, and Dr. Riad Meshaal, Secretary General of the Arab Dermatologists Association.
His Highness toured the exhibition and was acquainted with the latest developments in the world of dermatology and laser, and was briefed on the new technologies that have been adopted to enhance the sector and develop methods of dermatology treatment.
Dr. Abdul Salam Al-Madani said: “Dubai and the UAE provided the infrastructure and all the capabilities that enabled them to advance the medical sector significantly and distinctly, according to the highest international standards, which made it today the focus of the attention of the most famous doctors from different countries of the world, which is evident from the presence of this large number. Doctors from all over the world are engaged in scientific research and exchange of experiences, through this global scientific forum, which enhances continuous medical education and learn about the latest findings of modern science in the field of plastic surgery and laser therapy through innovative lectures and seminars.
The official opening of the conference was attended by a group of eminent personalities in the field of dermatology and cosmetology. The large attendance of experts, doctors and major companies producing medical equipment and supplies in dermatology reflected the trust and ability of the UAE in general and Dubai in particular to host all conferences with international standards of protection and safety.
During the opening ceremony, Dr. Hassan Galadari welcomed the participating delegations from all over the world who met in Dubai, pointing out that the global event is witnessing a great turnout in each version, whether in person or by default, which reflects Dubai’s global position in the specialized conference industry.
For his part, Dr. Abdul-Wahhab Al-Fawzan, President of the Arab Academy of Dermatology and Aesthetics and President of the Kuwait Dermatologists Association, said: “The government’s interest in dermatology and their encouragement for doctors, scientists and scientists in the field of health and medical sciences, and their contribution to the upgrading and rapid progress of health services is an important and fundamental pillar for the progress of peoples…explaining “Dubai Derma” has succeeded in all its previous sessions in highlighting all that is new in the world of laser treatment, skin surgery, psoriasis, acne, bullous diseases and more.”

For his part, Dr. Riad Meshaal, Secretary General of the Arab Dermatological Association, said: “Dubai Derma” is not only a scientific conference, but rather a global medical gathering that brings dermatologists and plastic surgeons all over the world together in Dubai, and we are here today in the perfect place to lead the exchange of knowledge among dermatologists locally and globally about new and future scientific developments in dermatology.
It is expected that this three-day session will attract more than 20,000 participants and visitors who will gather in Dubai from within the country and from around the world to discuss all that is new in this field. The scientific event will address developments in the dermatology sector and skin health care. As well as discussing the most important issues related to the sector, including the challenges it faces and ways to overcome them.
The conference agenda this year includes 326 scientific lectures, 79 workshops and more than 90 scientific posters focusing on various developments and topics related to plastic surgery, laser, cosmetic dermatology, anti-aging, and others. More than 349 experts and speakers will participate in the event, reviewing their experiences and the latest technologies in various related disciplines. .
The first day of the conference touched on various topics related to dermatology, such as immunosuppressive skin side effects, skin aging, the latest developments in photodynamic therapy in medicine and cosmetology, and developments in acne treatment.
