Konya, 7 August / WAM/ Her Excellency Eng. Azza bint Suleiman, Assistant Secretary-General for Administrative and Financial Affairs of the National Olympic Committee, participated in the 11th General Assembly of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation, which was held today, Sunday, in Konya, Turkey, on the sidelines of the fifth edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, President of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation, opened the meeting with a speech in which he stressed the lofty values that characterize the federation and calls for strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and love among the athletes of the member states.
The meeting witnessed the signing of the protocol “Konya 2022 Capital of the Islamic World” between Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal and Mehmet Muharrem Kasaboglu, the Turkish Minister of Sports.
During the meeting, the attendees reviewed many topics on the meeting’s agenda, including the presentation of the report of the Federation’s Board of Directors for the previous period, the report of the Director of the Islamic Solidarity Games in Konya, and the proposed amendments to the Statute of the Federation.
