Emirates News Agency – “The Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah” organizes a “poetry evening on the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day

Sharjah, August 30, WAM/ The Cultural and Media Office of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah organized an evening entitled “She and Creativity”, which included poetry readings, music playing and plastic painting, on the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day.

The two poets, Sheikha Al-Jabri and Amal Al-Sahlawi, recited various poems on the occasion, while the evening witnessed musical performances on the Qanun by the player Mariam Al-Shalobi and works of plastic art by the two artists, Mona Abdel-Qader and Amna Al-Falasi.

The evening, which was moderated by the writer Safia Al-Shehhi, began with a speech by Saleha Obaid Ghabish, head of the Cultural and Media Office, during which she welcomed the attendees.

She said: “Art, poetry and creativity are evident in this evening, which we organize on the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day, to express her ability to preserve her appearance that reflects our Islamic religion, customs and traditions, with her ability to be present and leave her mark in various forums and fields, and she is the mother who sacrifices, educates and is keen on giving.” .
