Emirates Post Group Presents “Logistics Innovations” Competition for Robotics Students

DUBAI, 4th July, 2020 (WAM) — The Emirates Post Group, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and a number of technical partners, has invited innovative college and university students interested in robotics to participate in the “Logistics Innovations” competition, which is the first annual educational program for robots launched by the group. The Ministry of Education stressed the importance of the competition in enriching students’ technical skills, calling on students who have skills in programming and robotics to participate in this innovative program, by registering via the dedicated link.

3 teams, consisting of two to four students each, with the participation of at least one Emirati student, will be selected to build a robot as a solution to the issue raised in the competition. The group will provide the necessary funding of 5,000 dirhams to purchase the necessary tools and enable the teams to build their innovative ideas.

The competition will be accompanied by an educational program that will be held from September to November. Participating students will be invited to visit the facilities of the Emirates Post Group, including the sorting center and retail branches, as well as the headquarters of the participating technology companies, to get acquainted with the logistics services sector and potential technological developments that can be adopted and integrated.

The “Logistics Innovations” program contributes to empowering young people and refining their skills. Cash prizes and certificates will be presented to the participants.
