INCEST – She no longer wants to remain silent. This Thursday, September 14 on RTL, Emmanuelle Béart recounts the after-effects of the incest of which she was a victim. The actress reveals the traumatic story of the abuse she suffered between the ages of 11 and 15 in a documentary entitled A silence so loudbroadcast on September 24 on M6.
The one whose face was revealed by Manon of the sources first evokes a form of passivity among those close to him: “I spoke in my inner circle but I saw that it didn’t make any impression, I had the impression that people didn’t hear and very quickly forgot what I had said.”
“It is very, very difficult for a child, who is isolated by the person who is subjecting him to this incestuous sexual violence, isolated and silent most of the time. But, the child speaks, I am convinced of it”she still asserts, in the interview below.

« I fell frequently”
Emmanuelle Béart also talks about her adult life traumatized by four long years marked by abuse. “I had children, I got married and so somewhere, I ran very far, very quickly. And then I fell, I fell frequently”, she says. Before continuing with the after-effects: “I had sleepless nights, I took sleeping pills, the after-effects invaded my daily life and my life.”
But now, when she has found “the tool” -a documentary- to recount years of suffering, the actress no longer wants ” survive ” more « vivre ». “Having wanted to die for a long time, I think that now I really have the right to want to live,” she says.
In this film, directed by Franco-Ukrainian Anastasia Mikova, Emmanuelle Béart met three women and a man, all victims of incest in their childhood. The actress also gives a moving testimony about her own experience. If she immediately dismisses her father, Emmanuelle Béart does not reveal who her attacker is and only explains that the rapes lasted until she was 15 and that she kept silent for forty years.
