Two men were injured in a face-off on the Laurentian highway on Sunday evening. There would be reason to fear for the life of the victim of an oncoming driver.
According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), the driver at fault was in his fifties and was driving a Ford Explorer SUV. The latter was traveling in a northerly direction when there was a collision between the two vehicles on the southbound lane, around 9:30 p.m.
The frontal impact took place with a man in his forties driving his Honda Civic. Both men were taken to hospital. According to the first findings of the police, alcohol would be involved.
The road was completely closed for several hours southbound while reconstruction experts and investigators were on the scene.
