Released in September 2020 in not very ideal conditions, Marvel’s Avengers will have had a journey full of pitfalls. Despite disappointing sales, and angry management following poor feedback from the game, the Crystal Dynamics title will not survive 2023. In a message posted on the game’s official website, the developers explain that the 2.8 update on March 31, 2023 will be the last. We should not expect additional content, the next update will simply offer global balancing. And as of September 30, 2023, Square Enix will cease all official support for this Marvel’s Avengers, which will remain playable in both solo and multiplayer after this date. In the end, the game will have offered 12 playable characters, which is clearly insufficient to maintain a certain interest.
