Energy crisis: “Look at what is being done in neighboring countries, measures must be taken in Belgium”

In this interview, Didier Reynders, European Commissioner for Justice, returned to the sanctions against Russia, European aid to deal with inflation and the energy crisis or even the bankruptcy of the Belgian State announced by De Wever.

“We have to take a further step. There are measures to be taken at member state level, as well as at European level. As far as the EU is concerned, there is a meeting of energy ministers on Friday. The proposal will be to limit the prices, both of gas and of other energy production”, explained the European Commissioner for Justice.

Citing the example of Germany and France, Didier Reynders called on Belgium to take more measures to deal with the energy crisis. “I know that the Belgian government is meeting, but it is time for decisions to be made,” he urged.
