England bans some disposable plastic: “This is grabbing a mop instead of turning off the tap”

Plastic plates, cutlery and a whole range of other disposable materials will be banned in England from October. The government wants to limit the “devastating” effect of plastic on the environment, said Environment Minister Therese Coffey. Plastic containers and certain types of polystyrene cups and food packaging will also be banned.
