Abu Dhabi, September 13, 2017 – 93% of road users benefited from the urgent notification feature as a proactive measure, to notify drivers of emergency traffic conditions, to enhance security and safety on the roads of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, according to an opinion poll conducted by Abu Dhabi Police via social media sites.
Followers of Abu Dhabi Police accounts interacted with the survey, which was published in Arabic, English and Asian languages, to determine the extent to which groups of society benefited from “urgent alerts” on the Abu Dhabi Police application for smart phones and social media accounts to alert the public of emergency situations on the roads.
The Security Media Department in the Driving Affairs Sector confirmed that the results of the survey revealed the importance of the “urgent alerts” feature in alerting drivers during volatile weather conditions such as rain, fog, dirt, dust, and in cases of traffic congestion, in several languages.
She pointed out that Abu Dhabi Police is keen to measure the extent to which society benefits from the media messages that it publishes through many modern and innovative channels to delight its audience from various segments of society, in order to achieve its strategic priorities.
