Import and export continued to develop, setting a new record with a total turnover of more than 732.5 billion USD, an increase of nearly 10% compared to the previous year; maintained a trade surplus for the 7th year in a row with a surplus of USD 11.2 billion (3.3 times higher than the previous year), making a positive contribution to the balance of payments, stabilizing exchange rates and economic indicators. other macro.

The domestic market recovered strongly with high growth. Total retail sales of goods and services increased by nearly 20%, exceeding 2.5 times the planned target, basically meeting essential goods to serve people and businesses.

E-commerce has grown strongly, contributing to the development of supply chains and circulation of goods at home and abroad, bringing our country into the group of 5 countries with the world’s leading e-commerce growth rate.

Entering 2023, right after the Government issued Resolution 01/NQ-CP dated January 6, 2023 on the main tasks and solutions to implement the socio-economic development plan, the state budget estimate and improve the business environment, improve national competitiveness in 2023, the industry and trade sector has an action plan to implement the Resolution.
